Jenis tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dasar biofuel terdiri dari 50-60 spesies komoditas, diantaranya:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Gula tebu<\/li>\n<li>Jatfora<\/li>\n<li>Kecipir<\/li>\n<li>Kelor kenari<\/li>\n<li>Tengkawang tungkul<\/li>\n<li>Margosa<\/li>\n<li>Rambutan<\/li>\n<li>Sirsak<\/li>\n<li>Wijen<\/li>\n<li>Dan lain sebagainya<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Mengingat energi ini bukan berasal dari minyak bumi, maka biofuel dapat menjadi alternatif energi terbarukan karena berasal dari sumber daya alam yang dapat diperbarui.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/universaleco.id\/en\/jenis-contoh-limbah-domestik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baca Juga: Pengertian dan Penerapan Biogas<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2990 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/universaleco.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/111.jpg\" alt=\"biofuel\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/universaleco.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/111.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/universaleco.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/111-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/universaleco.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/111-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/universaleco.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/111-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Jenis Biofuel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Biofuel terdiri dari dua jenis utama yaitu gas dan cair, antara lain:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Biogas: Berasal dari limbah biodegradable atau tanaman berenergi untuk menghasilkan gas metana melalui proses anaerobik<\/li>\n<li>Syngas: Melalui pembakaran parsial biomassa untuk menghasilkan campuran karbon monoksida, hidrogen dan hidrokarbon lainnya<\/li>\n<li>Etanol: Campuran senyawa mikroorganisme dan enzim melalui fermentasi gula atau selulosa untuk menghasilkan bahan bakar alcohol<\/li>\n<li>Biodiesel: Bahan bakar diesel yang berasal dari campuran minyak nabati dengan sodium hidroksida dan methanol<\/li>\n<li>Metanol: Melalui proses gasifikasi yang dilakukan pada suhu yang sangat tinggi untuk menghasilkan metanol cair ini<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Proses Pembuatan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Terdapat 3 (tiga) cara pembuatan biofuel, yaitu:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Pembakaran limbah organik kering dari limbah rumah tangga atau pertanian<\/li>\n<li>Fermentasi limbah basah seperti kotoran hewan dengan proses tanpa oksigen untuk menghasilkan biogas<\/li>\n<li>Fermentasi tanaman seperti tebu atau jagung untuk menghasilkan alkohol dan ester<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fungsi Biofuel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Biofuel dapat digunakan pada beberapa aktivitas sebagai berikut:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Pembangkit listrik<\/li>\n<li>Transportasi seperti mobil, bus dan lain sebagainya<\/li>\n<li>Pemanas seperti kompor dan peralatan memasak lainnya<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kelebihan dan Kekurangan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Kelebihan dari biofuel adalah sebagai berikut:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Biaya produksi rendah<\/li>\n<li>Berasal dari sumber daya yang dapat diperbarui<\/li>\n<li>Ramah lingkungan karena menjadi energi terbarukan<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Sedangkan kekurangannya antara lain:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Ancaman ketahanan pangan karena bahan pangan dialihkan sebagai bahan bakar<\/li>\n<li>Penggunaan pupuk yang berlebihan untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan tanaman<\/li>\n<li>Deforestasi menjadi lokasi pertanian yang dapat mengancam habitat makhluk hidup<\/li>\n<li>Penggunaan minyak dan air yang berlebihan<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About Universal Eco<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Universal Eco adalah perusahaan pengelola limbah yang bertanggung jawab dan ramah lingkungan.
