Sedangkan secara detail, metode\u00a0<em>fire assay<\/em>\u00a0memiliki 6 proses yang terdiri dari:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Persiapan Sampel. Sampel konsentrat yang berbentuk kristal harus memiliki ukuran 200 mesh<\/li>\n<li>Penambahan Flux (<em>Fluxing<\/em>). Flux merupakan suatu pereaksi yang ditambahkan pada zat yang sulit melebur untuk menghasilkan campuran yang dapat melebur dengan mudah atau disebut sebagai\u00a0<em>slag\u00a0<\/em>(ampas bijih). Zat pereaksi tersebut diantaranya Natrium karbonat (Na<sub>2<\/sub>CO<sub>3<\/sub>), Timbal(II) oksida (PbO), Silikon dioksida (SiO<sub>2<\/sub>), Boraks (Na<sub>2<\/sub>B<sub>4<\/sub>O<sub>7<\/sub>) dan Kalium flourida (CaF<sub>2<\/sub>)<\/li>\n<li>Peleburan (<em>Fusion<\/em>). Campuran dilebur dengan suhu 1.050 derajat Celcius di dalam tungku pembakaran dengan waktu sekitar 45-60 menit. Cairan hasil peleburan dituang ke dalam cetakan berbentuk kerucut\u00a0<em>lead botton<\/em>\u00a0di mana setelah dingin\u00a0<em>slag\u00a0<\/em>akan terpisah dari cetakan.<\/li>\n<li>Pemisahan Timbal (<em>Cupelation<\/em>). Pemisahan emas dan perat dari cetakan dilakukan dengan cara peleburan\/pemanasan di mana cetakan\u00a0<em>lead button<\/em>\u00a0akan teroksidasi menjadi timbal (Pb) dengan persentase 98,5% terserap dan 1,5% menguap.<\/li>\n<li>Pemipihan. Biji logam mulia hasil proses sebelumnya dipipihkan sampai berukuran sekitar 0,2mm dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan emas yang sempurna.<\/li>\n<li>Pelarutan (<em>Digestion<\/em>). Pemisahan emas dan perak dilakukan dengan penambahan asam nitrat agar perak menjadi larut. Setelah itu ditambahkan asam klorida (HCl) 65% untuk melarutkan mineral yang masih terkandung di dalam emas.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Metode\u00a0<em>Fire Assay<\/em>\u00a0Menghasilkan Limbah B3<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Penggunaan metode\u00a0<em>fire assay<\/em>\u00a0umumnya terjadi secara kimiawi di mana menggunakan bahan kimia di dalamnya, sehingga limbah yang dihasilkan dari proses ini termasuk kategori limbah Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun (B3).
